Editorial standards

We lead with primary sources and are explicit about where a claim comes from.

• Primary. Agency and space-organization releases, mission status pages, official company newsrooms, regulatory filings, government contracts, peer-reviewed papers and preprints, and official data feeds.
• Independent reporting. Reputable space, science, and technology publications, wire services, and specialist reporters with transparent sourcing.
• Discovery only. Social posts, forums, and video commentary may point us toward a story but never serve as the sole basis for a material claim.

• We find the original announcement, paper, filing, or mission page.
• We record both the publication date and the event date.
• We confirm material details through an independent source when feasible.
• We separate current facts from future plans and mark uncertainty explicitly.
• We re-check launch times shortly before each issue is scheduled.

Status labels are editorial metadata, not decoration. Each carries a specific meaning — for example, NET (No Earlier Than) means an event will not occur before a date but is not guaranteed for it, and PREPRINT marks a result that has not yet been peer reviewed. We never silently alter a material factual error. When a published detail changes, we add a dated correction to the canonical web version, preserve the previous value, and — when an error is materially misleading — send a correction by email. See the corrections page for the full record.

Solward is independent and does not imply endorsement by any agency or company. We store source metadata, links, and short excerpts rather than copies of full articles, and we record image credit and rights before publication. We do not remove watermarks or credits.

We may use software to help collect, cluster, and summarize information, but a human editor approves every published claim and every email send. We do not auto-publish, and we never fabricate facts, quotes, or sources.
