The short version

We collect the minimum needed to send you Solward and run the publication. We never sell your data, we never buy email lists, and you can unsubscribe or request deletion at any time.

What we collect

  • Your email address (required to subscribe).
  • Your first name, if you choose to provide it.
  • Your topic preferences and consent history.
  • How you signed up (for example, the homepage or an issue page).
  • Basic engagement signals such as whether emails were delivered and whether links were clicked.

We do not collect your birth date, home address, phone number, or precise location for the newsletter. IP addresses are omitted or irreversibly hashed where evidence of consent is required.

How we use it

To deliver the weekly issue and transactional messages (like confirmation emails), to understand aggregate engagement so we can improve the publication, and to honor your preferences and legal rights.

Service providers

We use Resend to deliver email. Resend processes your email address and delivery events on our behalf. We do not include third-party advertising trackers by default.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from any email using the link in its footer, or your preferences page.
  • Request a copy of your data, or its deletion, by emailing us.
  • We honor applicable access and deletion requests and recognized opt-out signals.

To exercise any of these, email hello@solward.space.

Retention

We keep subscriber records while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward to honor unsubscribe and suppression states. Consent events are kept as an append-only record.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify subscribers.
